SOMETIMES, LOVE IS A GAME.

Amidst huge crowd, she cried for my love,
Pleading all days that my YES is truly enough.
My mind never wished to dance to her boring tunes,
As she put calls to me before sunrise and at the gleaming of the moons.
Was this a trap? Or a game with intents to loot my fragile heart?
This, became a question I couldn't answer from the start.
She knelt before me like a hopeless sheep desirous of food,
But in this condition, I never wanted to be harsh or rude.
She was intoxicated by a love nurtured by her lust,
Unwillingly, I still felt reluctant to cheaply trade my trust.
But as her crocodile tears fell on my trembling toes,
Leniently, I decided to ease her unprecedented woes.
In the first few months, she was lovable even behind the curtain,
Humbly, she honored my calls even before pressing the button.
On my table, were delicious delicacies in her magical pots,
Just for me to be convinced enough and overlooked her buts.
Alas! I was completely lured into this game,
Of course, in the end, I knew I would've myself to blame.
I spent all days thinking I've found a true love,
With whom I believed would cross all roads seemed rough.
I kept her safe in my heart with no hidden fears,
With my heartbeat singing lullabies to her ears.
I surrendered myself to the trick of a love player,
Had I know it would be this bad, wouldn't have trusted this betrayal.
I deleted her pictures, her contacts and our chat histories,
But, I found it difficult to forget all our beautiful memories.
I was left to suffer the pains of an unripened breakup,
Therein my heart are heavy beats that beat my feelings to a pulp.
With no more tears, I have got to move on with no shame,
But in the nearest future, you will surely regret playing this game.
